I graduated from Gazi University Music Department. Besides, my interest in textile art dates back to ancient times. I worked on different methods to express myself.

The things I do are not purely a drawing or embroidery.
But they are somewhere at the meeting point of these 3 methods.
In fact, what I am trying to achieve is an art practice that takes the technique from the past, the subject and concepts from the future. The sheep wool that I use is very important to me because this technique has a long history dating back thousands of years.

I have worked in many environments and techniques. I like to say that my art practice is content and material oriented. I try to find the best way to express what I want to say and to use the materials and techniques that best express it. I am not overly concerned with technique and I do not see technique as an end in itself.

I mainly work with found materials and textile pieces. And I think this approach has served me well. I support my work with free hand machine embroidery sewing. Experimenting with sewing on different surfaces excites me. I use paper, gauze, wool and found fabrics. In particular, I preferred surfaces that are difficult to process. Although fragile material, they have the power to carry our stories. In fact, all work is related to the energy and intention of the heart rather than the working of the mind.

With sewing and embroidery technique, manipulation consisting of the reflection of the clean image on the front surface to the back was applied and creating a cumulative effect, I actually reflect how difficult the destruction inside us is, the life we live inflicts wounds on us, with crooked and intertwined threads, without any intervention, in its natural state. After the embroidery part of the work was finished, what I really wanted was for him to have all the various emotions he could express. It was a subconscious reflection of the image on the back. It was a process of finding a way to express myself in a much more spontaneous and expressive way. In order to increase the density of the stitches, I needed to add more rhythm to my work and I thought that the back of the work could express all these things well.
